Pier Coordinator-Fri Only
The role of a Pier Coordinator is to support check-in agents during embarkation, including collecting balances due on guest's accounts and assisting with sales and upgrades of available staterooms. Pier Coordinators provide administrative, reporting, and problem solving support throughout the arrival check-in process.
Primary responsibilities of the Pier Coordinator include but are not limited to:
Collect balance dues and assist with sales and upgrades of available staterooms as well as aid in the embarkation of employees, workers, entertainers and families of crew members.
Administer ship check-in which includes but is not limited to directing guests, using the check-in computers, and filing paperwork
Answer any and all guest questions relating to the embarkation process
Resolve guest service issues if the Pier Supervisor or Assistant Pier Supervisors are unavailable
Coordinate with shipboard personnel concerning availability and payment for staterooms
Complete personal property reports for damaged or misplaced luggage
Provide the ship with an accurate manifest at sailing and send all reports to Guest Port Services at close of day
Assist with training Seward Guest Service Representatives
Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
Pier Coordinators must meet the following criteria in order to be considered as an applicant:
Must be at least 18 years of age
Be willing to submit to pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
A US citizen or can provide verification of authorization to work in the US
Previous guest/customer service experience
Training Timeline
Once hired, RCT will provide you with the necessary training to do a great job. The Pier Supervisor will conduct the majority of this training via on-the-job training.
Housing
Pier Coordinators are responsible for their own housing. Out-of-state employees are responsible for their own transportation to and from Alaska.
Wages & Bonuses
First year Pier Coordinator - $12.00/hr
All Pier Coordinators will be eligible for a bonus of 10% of gross wages, upon completion of their contract.
