Tour Operations Supervisor
The Tour Operations Supervisor oversees the day to day operations within Tour Operations and offers administrative support to the manager of the Tour Operations Department. Responsibilities include maintaining all daily operations documents, tour director rooming lists and staff repositioning. The supervisor organizes and distributes weekly tour packets, updates tour operations boards and assists with guest service and field support. This position works closely with the Fairbanks, Motorcoach and Rail operations as well as outside vendors.
Primary responsibilities of the Tour Operations Supervisor include but are not limited to:
Assists in managing the day to day operations of Tour Operations and manifesting
Handle communications for the tour operations including email and phone
Create and distribute weekly tour packs
Create tour director rooming list
Act as a field coordinator and troubleshoot operations problems/issues
Problem solve and assist in resolving work related issues.
Handle operational emergencies as necessary and contact appropriate management
Assist in booking staff repositioning
Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Tour Operations Supervisors must meet the following criteria in order to be considered as an applicant:
Must be available from April 26, 2010 through September 17, 2010
Must be 21 years of age by April 15, 2010
High School Graduate or equivalent
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test
Must posses proven supervisory skills
Must have a valid drivers license with a good driving record that falls within the guidelines of Royal Celebrity Tours
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Must be a U.S. citizen or able to provide verification of authorization to work in the U.S.
Training Timeline
Once hired, RCT may provide you with a thorough training program starting in April. There will also be a few required evening group classroom sessions, overnight travel and weekend training.
Housing
The Tour Operations Supervisor position is based in Anchorage and is responsible for his/her own housing. Out-of-state employees are responsible for their own transportation to and from Alaska.
Wages & Bonuses
First year Tour Operations Supervisor - $13.00/hour
Overtime wages are paid at 1 1/2 times the regular rate of pay for hours in excess of 8 hours per day or 40 hours per scheduled work week.
